Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 September 2026

1. Who we are

CoParentally provides co-parenting organisation, communication, record-keeping, wellbeing and educational tools. CoParentally is the data controller for information described in this policy. Contact us at privacy@co-parentally.com.

CoParentally provides general information and tools, not legal, medical or emergency advice.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and contact information: name, email address, phone number, region, login and security information.
  • Family and child information: child profiles, relationships, ages or age ranges, access codes, schedules and information supplied by a parent or guardian.
  • Case and co-parenting records: notes, dates, documents, evidence, expenses, parenting arrangements and records you choose to create or upload.
  • Communications: messages, attachments, voice notes, video-call information and reports made through the service.
  • Wellbeing information: mood check-ins, observations, medication or health records and safety flags entered by a parent, guardian or child using a parent-managed profile.
  • Photos, files, camera and microphone data: only when you choose to upload, record or start a calling feature.
  • Location information: only for features where you choose to enable location or GPS records. You can decline and enter relevant information manually where available.
  • Payment information: subscription status, product and transaction references. Full card details are handled by Stripe on the website or by Apple/Google for mobile purchases; CoParentally does not store full card numbers.
  • AI content: prompts, selected records and generated responses when you use AI-assisted features.
  • Technical information: device/browser type, IP address, app events, diagnostics and security logs.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, secure and improve the service.
  • Authenticate users and connect authorised family members.
  • Store and organise records, messages, schedules and documents.
  • Provide user-requested AI assistance and safety-related notifications.
  • Process subscriptions, support requests and account deletion.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorised access and threats to safety.
  • Meet legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.

4. Children and parental responsibility

CoParentally is primarily an account service for parents and guardians. A parent or legal guardian must create and manage any child profile, decide which features the child may use and supervise the child’s use.

Child profiles are not public. We do not use children’s personal information for targeted advertising or sell it. Parents should not enter more information about a child than is necessary and should regularly review linked accounts, messages and permissions.

If you believe a child is using CoParentally without appropriate permission, contact privacy@co-parentally.com.

5. AI-assisted features

When you choose an AI feature, relevant text or files may be processed by AI services used through our platform providers. AI output can be incomplete or wrong and must be reviewed by an adult. Do not rely on AI output as legal, medical, mental-health or emergency advice, and do not submit information that is not necessary for the requested task.

6. Service providers and disclosure

We may share only the information needed with providers that support hosting, authentication, data storage, AI processing, email/SMS delivery, calling, maps/calendar integrations, diagnostics and payments. Website payments are handled by Stripe; mobile purchases are handled by Apple or Google when enabled.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect a person’s safety, to investigate abuse or fraud, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.

7. Storage and international processing

Our providers may store or process information in Australia and other countries. Where information is processed overseas, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the information involved. We do not promise that every record remains exclusively in Australia.

8. Retention

We keep account information while the account is active and retain other information only as reasonably required to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal, payment or record-keeping obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer required, it is deleted or de-identified.

Deleting an account does not require deletion of another person’s independently created records, and some records may be retained where lawfully required. We will explain material retention that applies to a deletion request.

9. Your choices and rights

You can review account information, turn optional permissions off in device settings, export available data and delete your account from CoParentally Settings.

You may also use our public account deletion page or contact us to request access, correction or deletion. Deleting the account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed through Apple, Google or Stripe; cancel through the same billing provider.

10. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections and operational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your password and child access codes, use a secure device and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access.

11. Updates and contact

We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel.
